HOBBY SHED

The Noosa Men’s Shed has a small Amateur Radio group with its own station VK4NMS with the capabilities to communicate on HF, VHF and UHF frequencies on various different modes. We also have a DMR (Digital Mobile Radio) repeater, Allstarlink, Echolink and Repeaterphone which allow us to communicate with other amateur stations locally, interstate and worldwide.

New members and visitors are very welcome. Our members can also assist aspiring amateurs to obtain their Amateur Foundation Licence which is relatively easy and gets you “on the air” fairly quickly. Tuesday mornings from 8:00 - 11:30am are the best times to come and check out the Amateur Radio group.
